I used to use a program called c64S.
Do a yahoo search for "c64 emulators" and eventually you'll come across it. It's a nice little program, and emulates it well. Just download it, unzip it with WinZip (or windows self extraction program), install it, and run it. It will run just like an old c64.
As to finding programs that'll run it, you're on your own, and you *must* own a copy the program you plan on emulating first.

Check out a C64 emulator called VICE, it's available from http://www.viceteam.org/ You can use the keyboard or a PC joystick. For games see: http://www.c64games.com http://www.c64.com and http://www.lemon64.com (there are lots of other sites, just search for 'C64 games').
There is also a great Amiga emulator available from http://www.winuae.net

www.romnation.net has emulators and roms for pretty much every system ever, including your beloved c64. Can't imagine why you'd want to when it's obvious that the Sinclair Spectrum was the peak of computer gaming... good grief, im such a geek...

Go to www.fanjita.net for all your emulation needs. Also www.coolroms.com or www.freeroms.com have everything you need. Don't listen to those spas, nothing like a bit of Arnie, Peter Shilton's handball Maradona or Famous Five Adventure to kill a rainy day!!! ciao

i changed into an amiga proprietor, yet my cousin had commadore, tremendous gadget. My favourite sport changed into the Nightmare on Elm St. sport... It changed into style of a tacky sport, and that i in no way beat it, yet i changed into an excellent fan of freddy. I also bear in mind %mania, or %international. A twist on pacman, various exciting.
