An ex of mine worked in a pickle factory to put himself through college, his job for 8 hours a day was to watch pickles go by on a conveyer belt and pick out the rotten ones, I think that has to be the most depressing job in the world!

Food service. I had to set up the salad bar, bus tables, seat people and generally be a gopher. I was a teen at the time and know that there are worse jobs out there but I would never ever want to do that again.

Every job was my decision. I am not going to dis myself. I chose to do the work.

Now, some of the people I worked with sucked! And some of them were my bosses! They sucked (some).

I shoveled horse manure just to ride horses. I worked 49 hours a week in a restaurant, for $49 dollars (had to clean the crappers). But I chose to do these jobs.

I packed, unpacked re-organized an entire filing system for a major bank in Belfast. The most monotonous job I have ever done. I still can't look at a filing cabinet without cringing!

It's a difficult one:

Selling vacuum cleaners - not as bad as it sounds

Telesales that started at 4am (selling to the foulest mouthed Aussies you've ever heard)

A waitering job where the boss got drunk and punched me more than once)

Remodelling pumps, including sewer pumps that were clogged with crap.

I think telesales was the worst.

A dishwasher at a schoddy restaurant. I was electrocuted and punctured in the head with a rusty nail. Neither time did the owner think that medical attention was necessary. I was only 15 at the time.

I worked as a spy for a security company. My job was to make friends at a shipping dock and find out who was stealing things from the trucks. Not that I condon this kind of behavior, but stealing this stuff was so easy almost everyone was doing it and most of them were barely out of their teens, nice and decent people otherwise and didn't see themselves as criminals but overworked and underpaid. I had to face them in court, felt kind of dirty. Quit after a couple of months

I worked for an alcoholic class action plaintiff's attorney, who was an ex-marine and quite a dick! He along with his partners are in the process of getting disbarred. It was like working in a John Grisham novel.
