hey all what is your opinion on gay marriage?
Please tell me your honest opinion's as i want to see if you agree with myself and others in our progect thanks !
Explain the pro's and con's of gay's as well. Why is it that it would ruin our country as our president tried to tell us and so forth. I want true liberal and right wing thoughts here people.

i thought i would add. I love the comments so far from some of you. Just to add im not gay i cant begin to state that i dont believe in this. So please feel free to post what ever either way as this wouldnt be hurtfull towards me. I just want to see what thoughts are out there. Being that the media is allowing this to get out of control.

I think that political marriage, and all of the taxes and responsibilities that come with it, should be between any two consenting people. You can call it a civil union or a marriage, but politically it doesn't matter if you are gay or straight, if you want to become a family unit, you can, and receive the right to pay more taxes and get better benefits.
Religious marriage is a sacrament that should be left up to the churches to decide individually.

I don't really have a problem with gays, although I think the real ones have a disease. Nowdays there are lots of this tipe of people who just do it for fun, to have a new experience etc., and i dissagree with them. On the other hand this freedom thing is really getting out of hand. People are trying to much to show that they are free to do whatever they want and so they are asking for too many things. In Netherlands for example they have a partie who fights for legalisation of sex from 12 yrs old or even earlier if both parts agree on it. It's like with a drug. If you accept to do it once, then you'll take more, then change it to a tougher one and in the end well have people having sex with theyr babies "so that they are prepared when theyre older". A line must be drawn somewhere and it's better to do it now before it's too late. So in my oppinion gays should be treated just like any other ill person because I'm sure at least half are faking, and they shouldn't ask for so many things, and doing marches and stuff, it won't do any good for their image.

The definition of a mariage is between a Man and a Women and will remain that way. There are plenty of laws that protect it in the same manner that protects someone from marrying their grandmother. It's law not ethics. When we come to the actual issue of homosexuality we find that there isn't conclusive evidence of any biological proof that they are sexually attracted to their own gender. It wouldn't make sense in a natural selection POV. I believe it is a condition of the brain, sometimes offected on the way you were brought up. When it comes down to it you make the decision to perform homosexual acts which deems you being "gay." Wether that decision is an actual decision or a sub-consionce decision, it is a decision non the less. You can stop yourself from perfoming homosexual acts, no one holds a gun to you and makes you (well lets hope not). People just think that "it feels natural." Well people so does greed, stuburness, and a rack of other conditions that are ALL behavioral effects of the brain. Bottom line is homosexuallity is a behavioral disorder and has no place to invade the idea that humans conceive as marriage. It will just distort out society as it has already begun to. If you really truly feel that you are gay, please keep it in the closet. Let us remember how many people truly believe they are something they are not.

Gay marriage is one of the things that will lead to the decline of western civilization. What is next people marrying cats and dogs? Being gay is unnatural, how many animals are gay. It is against nature and God. Even if you believe in that evolution crap you have to know to sexes evolved. Marriage is sacred. Do you want your kids growing up knowing that he or she can marry anything. And adoptions should children grow up seeing gays together. I this becomes socially acceptable, it may already be, what is next.
