Low libido (low sexual desire), is a very common problem for many women after childbirth or for those on birth control. It can also happen to young women or women of all ages. The cause is usually a hormonal imbalance.

No, it's not normal, and you should go see your doctor or a good therapist about it. There are several things that can be causing this--depression, hormone inbalance, or illness. For me, it was depression causing my low sex drive, and I have been on Prozac for about three weeks and now that I feel more like me, the drive is coming back... but, hon, I know where you are coming from.... hang in there, and do see a therapist or your OB-GYN. All the best!!

I am exactly the same, luckily my husband is really supportive, you should go to your doctor as it could be a symptom of depression, which can be sorted out pretty quickly. I feel like a real freak sometimes and wish I could just click my fingers and evrything would be fine again as I used to have a really high sex drive, if you find a miracle cure in your answers, please be sure to let me know, x

no its not normal are there any other symptoms? Document everything even if it seems unrelated. I know of one lady who lost her sex drive in college she had many other symptoms like area specific weight gain etc...but it wasn't until years later when her skin and eyes took on a yellowish hue that she decided to see a Dr. and was properly diagnosed and medicated...her symptoms disappeared and her sex drive returned.
This could also have some psychological root you might want to consider have you been victimized in any way including non sexual ways like robbery or verbal assault.

Well even if it gives you no pleasure and even if it does not turn you on you can still do it for your man's sake. atleast you will feel that you are being loved and wanted by someone badly and that you are giving pleasure to your partner.
Please forgive me but the best part of being a woman is that you do not have to do anything...you just let your man take care of you....
