I am a big Mel fan and I am also an Australia. For David Hasselhoff, his manager is an Australian as well.
Regardless. look at what Hugh Grant did, and what George Michael did.....Not to mention Michael Jackson who may I add was "Not Guilty".

Davie Hasselhoff is nuttier becuase he is in denial.
Mel has admitted to being an Alcoholic and is seeking treatment. He also is working with the Jewish Anti-Defamation League to find out where all of the hate speech came from. He has asked for forgiveness from the Jewish community.
