Why are Conservative talk shows and news more popular than Liberal shows/news?

Every radio station and tv station pays to have a show aired. Why does the Liberal Air America show have to pay? Is it because they have not sponsor appeal?

Because their message has stood the test of time - liberals just hate it that conservatives have a clear, concise, accurate story to tell and that it is finally being told, after all the years of being ignored by the major media outlets, a number of great conservative minds have stepped and started to educate this country - and their message has caught on! If it was phony or false, it would have died a natural death long ago! In the free market, nothing sells like the truth!

Air America? They did have to pay to get their way on didn't they? If they tried to operate in the free market, they would be off the air right now... Oh well, so some rich liberals have some money to throw away - it's harmless, and no one's listening anyway, so that is their choice.

The conservative talk shows are simply more entertaining. I'm not a conservative, but really like Glenn Beck and O'Reilly. I've tried to listen to Air America, but they come across as angry and whiny...which is why they don't make money. They are being kept afloat by private money. The end is near I'll warrant. It's a shame, really. I've often wondered why there are no left leaning (or at least straight up independent) talk shows, although I find O'Reilly's radio show to be extremely fair and equallly critical of both sides of the aisle.

More people are conservative then liberal. At least that would listen to talk show radio in America. People like hearing stories from the heartland, from soldiers, etc. Liberal talk radio is just a bunch of Bush bashing. (Although conservative hosts will bash on liberals too)

The conservative media tries desperately to pull our heart-strings by overwhelming us with flag waving and patriotic bravado. The liberal media tells the truth and people don't want to be told that their government is dishonest, the war in Iraq is unjustified, that the tax cuts benefited only the rich, that the Bush administration is laden with abuse, corruption, and secrecy, that they have the worst environmental policies in history, that Bush cares about unborn children but has no problem slaughtering our troops or innocent Iraqi civilians, that his cronies are making a fortune by gouging us with ridiculous gas prices, that Bush can't put two sentences together without crucifying the English language, and that history will prove that Bush will go down as the worst president ever.

It's easy to tell people what they want to hear. Telling the truth in spite of harsh criticism takes courage.

Seriously, I think people like the truth instead of the barrel of spin and half-truths they get from the Liberal Talk Shows.

Sponsors look bad if their show's host is caught in a lie or the host rants without substance behind that rant.

There are 'conservatives' that I cannot stand to listen to also.

My favorite political talk show host is Tammy Bruce, she is a very clear thinker and can get her point across with truth as a backer, without ranting. I would give her my vote for president if she were a candidate. She is worth listening to, a stellar host.

Liberal stations and talk show hosts, try to hard to put down the Conservatives with no facts to bak the accusations up...not that there aren't some facts out there....but the Conservative talk show hosts usually back their views with facts.....even though some facts are weak, they are still facts....which makes them better than the Liberals

Conservatives are good at talking.
NOT actually doing anything,but they love to talk.

Moderates and liberals do not waste their lives sitting around rubbing the pot belly getting off on hate radio.

conservatives have more $ to reward the sponsors for the investment in commercials. rewards also come in terms of across the board tax breaks & other fair & balanced "packages" that end up favoring the conservatives. the conservative investments to acquire media have paid off well it seems.

If you ever heard a conservative and a liberal debate (argue) you would see why. Liberals cuss, scream, en-flame, lie, and are people of 'gloom and doom'. Then there's the conservative side.
