It can vary a bit depending on care and genetics, but usually from 2-3 years. Mine have averaged just over two.

Adults grow from 12.5 to 17.5 cm (5 to 7 inches) in length, and in captivity will usually live from 2 to 3 years

It mostly depends on the quality of care they recieve at the store/breeder you buy it from, and then what the recieve from you. It also depends on their genetics and sometimes even on luck.

If all goes in its favor it can live quite awhile, however the average is about 3 years.

Are you thinking of getting one? Or do you already have one? I must admit I have a bias against them, and would recommend something else like a gerbil, mouse, or rat, but that's personal preference. Also, if you're planning on getting one, remember that they are solitary animals who will often even fight to the death against another one if kept together.
