I want to establish a corporation. Do I go to school to major in the trade of my business, like whatever my business will be about? Or do I major in something, if so what, that teaches me how to establish and run a business?

Although it does not take a degree to be a CEO, you can major in something of your interest of your choice or you don't have to if you already excelled at your interest. It is always good to know it. Second, major in something such as Business Management/Administration, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Entrepreneurship Operations Management, Logistics Management, Technical Management, Finance, Communications, Accounting, Real Estate to help you better understand how a business operates if you don't know nothing about business at all. Perhaps, you should go to a local workforce center, they should have a small business center where a professional could help you with a start-up business. I would recommend that you make your own business plans of business ideas that are interesting to you. Then take it to the small business center and they will help you accomplish your goals or take it to a bank. If it sounds good with the bank then they will give you a loan to help you start your own business. Therefore, you would have to quit your job and run your business full-time to pay off the loan. Once the bank, knows that you paid off the loans, they will help you open up more businesses. If you are not good with money, math or finances it is always best to hire an accountant or financial analyst that you are able to trust for your business to handle acquisitions.

Experience working for a corporation is going to be the best thing for you, but you should also get a degree. I'd suggest majoring in economics or business/finance, and then going on to get your MBA. But really you can major in whatever field you like, and then get an MBA.

Qualified CEOs of corporations should have leadership skills and be able to act decisively regarding, human, financial, environmental and technical challenges that face a corporation. They should have strong inter-personal skills and be familiar with Human Resources, Accountancy/Finance, Marketing and improving through a structured approach that is inline with the owners orientation to risk. They must then report to the Board of Directors in the annual meeting.

I'd say, get your masters degree in business administration. Then learn whatever you need for a specific business. With the MBA, you can get a job in any corporation and work your way up.

Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Accounting - I would try to major in one of these options and possibly minor in another.

Or, if you definitely know what you business is going to be, you could also try to minor in a subject that relates to your trade.

I don't think you are CEO material, if you have to ask for other people's help for such an elementary choice.
The characteristic of a good CEO is his/her ability to take the right decisions in the shortest of times. That's not you, right?

if you are really business savvy, you'll be fine through experience..but its good to have a knowledge first..

start with entrepreneur course (there's loads)
finance and accounting
lastly and most importantly....

MARKETING!

that's how most successful entrepreneurs succeed. look at the existing ones, today for example. Donald Trump is one fine example. :)
