I never have to argue with anyone except my wife because I'm always right because I'm the boss. Even when I argue with my wife I'm always right but it doesn't matter, so to think of something I could have said is pointless, she will make me suffer a cruel fate for daring to start sh** with her again. So I mentally fantasize I said it and piss her off with my smug smile.

Can't say that I lost the argument, but I have later thought about what I wished I would have said.
Although if you are anything like me, don't worry you will get in another argument, maybe even with the same person, and you can use your zinger then.

It so sucks when that happens!!! But you can't restart the argument just to get the zinger off your chest. Just think to yourself; the moment has passed. And vow to think quicker in the next argument. Have a good one!

no... i haven't lost and argument with a friend... my friends and i always shout and say means things to each other... [just for a laugh] i always end up with the last laugh... it's either i say something really good and they can't come up with a better comeback or we just totally stop ranting... it's an awesome feeling when you have the last laugh.. as for your question, i think that would be a bummer to lose and pointless that the zinger came up too late already.. and nope.. i wouldn't restart the argument...

yes im afraid that happends very very often! lol its because the mind i so set on what just happend that its constantly replaying in your mind. Then right as you find exactly what you should have said!, its too late to use it. lol and by that time its pointless to restart an argument because beleave it or not, the other person had time to think of some great arguments themselves! lol so you may end up losing once more.
oh well, alls well that ends well.

I think everybody's done that. It would have to be a pretty great zinger for me to re-start the argument, though. You have to consider that maybe the person you were arguing with has come up with his or her perfect comeback as well!

You're not the only one. Almost everybody is like that because you keep thinking of what was said and imagining better scenarios. The best thing you can do is to forget about the whole thing what's done is done and it's not he end of the world if you lose an argument.

I hate when that happens. I think of the perfect point to trump any argument... about an hour after it ended.
I have been guilty of restarting an argument to use it, but my opponent never left themself open for it so it was a waste!

Totally, completely and absolutely true. And I don't know why the points have to be extra good but then you can't use them. Quite annoying huh? Actually no I don't try restarting an argument, I just leave it at that.

don't restart the argument. you never know when that person will have an even better zinger for you!
if stumped, just call them a hooker, headbutt them in the chest, and walk away.
