How can I transfer music files from an older computer (windows 98) to a comp running windows xp?

no need special program or cables.
just copy your music files to a disc and u can open it in your XP as long as you have the software in your XP

just use yahoo briefcase first zip the files and put it to briefcase
or
use a cd burn the files (fast & easy) and copy to new computer
