I am pregnant right now and still having periods. They are light and slightly offwhack, like yours. I found out I was pregnant when the morning sickness came. So there is a possibility that you could be pregnant. And there's a possibility that it could be something else. Take a pregnancy test and if it is negative go to a doctor. If you can't afford a doctor go to the ER. They will xray your breasts and see if there is any cancer or such. Good luck

I just turned 34 in July and it seems the older I get, the more this happens to me also. I am taking the pill and have been for years and normally the week before my period my breasts too get very sore. Lately, in the last year or so it seems that it happens more often and for longer periods during the month. It also has happened on different weeks during the month. Two months ago I had severe tenderness in both breasts for almost 3 weeks straight and it was even waking me up at night and was hard to get out of bed in the morning. There were many days that when I was at home I had to put a pillow under my breasts so they wouldn't move at all or it killed me. I did take a HPT and it was negative. I went to the DR for my yearly and told the DR about it and he did the normal breast exam (which hurt due to sore breasts) and everything was fine. Stress and caffeine can be a cause of breast tenderness. My DR told me to try to avoid caffeine and in about 3-4 weeks they should stop hurting. It took awhile but after cutting down on caffeine and working on some relaxing skills.. the tenderness has gone away. Good luck to you!!!

No one can make a diagnosis over the Internet, but I definitely would see a doctor as soon as possible.
Sometimes with an ectopic, or tubal pregnancy, you will have signs of pregnancy but still spot or get your period. Without medical intervention, the tube will rupture between 6 to 8 weeks and you will bleed internally at which point you need emergency surgery or you will die. The odds of your having an tubal pregnancy are greatly increased if you've ever had a venereal disease, but it is not the only reason for a tubal pregnancy.
Your best bet is to go see a doctor - very soon!
Good luck.

You were probably ovulating during the 18th. You said your period came yesterday instead of the 3rd your cycle probably has changed. During my menstrual cycle and when I am ovulating my breast are tender. My first day is always light and the second and third day is heavy. So don't worry this is normal. If you still worry make appoinment with your gyn doctor.

You did not say how old you are but its normal for breasts to be tender at certain times during your cycle and its due to hormones. Sometimes the hormone levels may stay higher due to changes your body goes through. This may and can happen many times throughout your life. Your breasts also go through many changes even throughout adulthood.

Sometimes you just get your period early or have worse symptoms than usual. Sometimes I even spot during periods. If your worried take a pregnancy test. Otherwise you can always ask a doctor about what your experiencing; otherwise I wouldnt worry. It doesnt sound like anything out of the ordinary.

well, depending on if you're still going thru puberty (i have no clue how old you are) it could just be your breasts growing more. or your BF might just be being a little rough lately ;)
newho, if it doesnt go away, or if you feel any lumps or anything unusual, go see a dr to make sure its not like lymphnodes or anything

Hormones during your period can cause breast tenderness.
If you are concerned about being pregnant - take a home test or see your gyno.
