kids are at school at lest 6 hours a day why cant they relax at home give their brain a rest

Having 7 grankids from 4 to 18 years of age, I believe there is a lot more homework now, especially for the 13 year old. It so much to do I think they don't get as much from it, because they don't have time to stop and explore other things.
Our schools start next week here in Texas.........what ever happen to summers off, not just 10 weeks.

Of course it sucks to do homework, but you have to realize you are doing it for yourself and not for your teachers. It helps keep what you learned in class to stick in your brain.
For example: The teacher tells you that 1+1=2. She tells you once. (I know, it's a stupid example, but pretend you don't know what it is for a sec) It doesn't exactly stick in your mind unless you get homework to write it down at least a 100 times. After you are done with it, I am guessing you would never forget that 1+1=2 ever again.

homework is awesome, if you're actually doing it. I know you high school students hate it, but it really helps you to learn the concepts.
TRUST ME, you will miss homework when you get to college and have to stay up till 5 in the morning studying for tests. I can't tell you how many times I've said "I wish homework were required again."

It get in the way of more important stuff, like blogging, chatting, downloading music, hanging out at the mall, shopping, drinking lattes, sleeping, eating, sexing, getting hair and nails done. Why do we need this stuff anyway? The government gives money to people for staying stupid and useless, so whats the big deal?

and also doing the writing works
better attend ur english classes carefully
