It's nearly impossible to get an agent without professional experience, a headshot, and if you're not in any unions.

If you're like 15 or so, I recommend you stay in school. Get as much performing experience as possible then try auditioning for small roles etc. www.actorsexpress.com

It sounds like you have experience. I recommend sending your headshot, resume, and demo reel to different agents and maybe you'll be picked up. When you're at a shoot, ask around. See what other people are doing for agents. Connections are a wonderful thing.

Simple reply, a few do now and a few do later.... Explanation: Almost any person with entry to distinctive humans in a given enterprise or within the example with actors, have entry to the day-to-day breakdowns, can name themselves marketers or private managers. They can cost you a price up entrance or on a per thirty days foundation as some way of "offsetting the price of advertising you". They can inform you that you just have to move to a distinct performing teach or use a distinct photographer to get new headshots. About ninety five% of the time if they're insistant that you just use most effective those humans they're getting a few form of kick back down of it. This is the intent why, if you are watching for a theatrical agent, you have to uncover one that's sanctioned by means of both SAG or AFTRA or each! Those unions have instructional materials in situation that state that an agent might most effective take a distinctive agreed upon percent after the performer has been paid. They additionally can not call for you utilize a distinctive trainer or photographer as a foundation for no longer repping you. An agent supplies a provider to guide you, and like every offerings you'll must pay for it finally. But in the event you aspect with an AFTRA/SAG agent, a minimum of you recognize that fee may not be popping out of pocket. Best of good fortune!

There is a person who keeps answering questions like this that says you have to have professional experience and be in a union to get an agent. That is not true. All you need to do is look on the Screen Actor's Guild website for a list of franchised agents. These agents will not charge you any money up front. If any agent ever asks for money upfront it is a scam.

ur lucky to have connections. i want to act more than ever. i dont care about the 10 points but i think the yellow pages.if i had connections i would ask ur friends mom. she would no if she does real commercial work. where r u located? if its LA its easy to get an agent or even NYC. but otherwise you will have to search. make sure with agents its taking a percentage out of your earnings and not an agent that you pay up front because they what i think personally wont get you anywhere. good luck for both you and me.
