Leadership is the ability to get your constituency to follow your concept of how things should be done.
Fidel Castro is a good example of leadership. His followers have kept him in power for over sixty years, despite economic hardships and the general disdain of the world and most of their Caribbean neighbors, he has had the support of the people of Cuba without overt intimidation, storm troops or the typical policy of a dictatorship. If you were to question the people of Cuba, they would state that he was a great leader, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
