Inside: he should wear a pampers (or equivalent) and that's all.
Outside: Be aware of the sun! Cover him with something light but closing the sun direct light.
BTW, reading other answers (people saying that the baby must not go in COLD weather), I think that they did not catch that the degrees are centigrade, not fahrenheit! How can they think that summer temperature in Cairo is below freezing...

Very light colored and light weight cotton outfits, even a sleeveless dress with a very light over shoulder sweater if she's going to be out of her stroller in public places. Nothing polyester or stuff that would make her sweat under her clothes in hot temperatures here in the States.
30 - 40 degrees celcius is 90 - 110 F over there.
What you can do is save $100 to buy her some clothes once you get there and see what other baby girls are wearing to ensure that you don't offend anyone.
Have fun on your trip, and watch out for crocodiles :-)

I'm assuming your 30-40 is celcius and not farenheight. Which means it will be very hot! As long as you put plenty of sunscreen on your baby keep her as cool as possible. Anything light colored and a light weight of fabric as well. Before you go its worth getting some very thin cotton material and making a few sheer blankets just to block the wind if you need it. Also another comfort hint for baby...be careful with elastic in little bloomer panty bottoms.(like the kind that goes with a dress or outfit) It will get very hot and uncomfortable and sweat like mad around their legs. Make sure you keep the baby hydrated too--which I'm sure you know. sorry...we mums get carried away!

The skin of the 4 month old baby is very sensetive hence it should always be protected from direct sun / heat. It is advisible to keep the baby fully covered when going out. Within the house you may use short sleves T shirts and shorts.

Short sleeves would be fine for the indoors or outdoors, BUT if you are outside make sure that her skin is covered completely by a blanket, hat or bonnett, and socks. Exposure to the cold can reak havic on their little bodies. Small children don't regulate their body temperatures well yet. Keep her covered up to ensure a healthy baby.

Short sleeves for definite! Thats boiling weather and babies cannot regulate their own temperature. Dont forget a hat, and SPF50 for babies, and lots of fluid! My baby is 3 months old and we are going away next week into the same sort of climate. Also take an inflatable bath, that way the baby can freshen up. Have fun!

Try looking for some clothes when you are out there, you may find long cotton clothes better than you can here and slap on the factor 50.
It may be wise just to take you baby out in the morning and evening, it's a bit tough going for most people never mind a baby.

If the temp is warmer than UK then dress the child in light loose clothing but keep her shaded from the direct sunlight. As she's young just be aware that she is in a foreign country and could be in contact with infections etc that she's not strong enough to fight off because of her immature immune system.. mothers milk helps this.
Take a light sheet and warmer clothing incase the temp changes, if you keep a regular check on her you'll know if she's comfortable or not. Just be prepared in advance.

Covered up completely. light cotton long sleeves, parasol and total sunblock
NO CHILD should be exposed to Ultra Violet rays until after age 3. No matter what skin colour they have.
Skin cancer is usually developed from childhood sunburn. What child needs a sun tan???
Behave yourself, and use common sense. That baby is too young for any direct sun.

You should keep a new baby in longer clothes cause they are unable to regulate theri body temperature like we are. You might could do layers like a long sleeve jacket or pull over and put a onesie on underneath incase they get hot. 30-40 may feel warmer to you but for a bay its not goo. It will also kep your child from getting sick since they are also working on building their immune system.
