I think it's really important to distinguish between the country & a party in it. Lebanon is not Hizbollah, they're just a Chiite party (one of the 18 sects in a country of just 3,5 million). I'm Lebanese & one of the many many people who do not support Hizbollah.

The situation in Lebanon is way more complex than anyone would ever imagine.

Why Lebanon does not disarm Hizbollah is a question I saw over & over. The answer is that we do not want another civil war. The Lebanese army is weaker than Hizbollah, who's backed by Syria & Iran (Syria occupied Lebanon for 25 years with US blessing before the latter finally changed their mind). Remember, Lebanon is smaller than Rhode Island & is infinitely tiny compared to those forces. If we took to arms, we'd be wiped out before you can say peace. What everyone seems to ignore, is that right before it all started, there was a national dialogue where all the parties involved were trying to get to an understanding & hopefully get Hizbollah to relinquish their weapons.

Farkas, Israel is not bombing Hizbollah, they're bombing civilians. Believe me, those children are really dead, along with hundreds of others. During this whole thing, very few Hizbollah militants were killed. The reason why they didn't flee even though they had 7 hours warning is that they have no where to go & no money. Besides, all the roads to that village had been heavilly bombed & very very hard to cross with children & old people.

I support the Lebanese people. I DO NOT support Hezbollah, and their treatment of the Lebanese people. Therefore, I'm rooting for Israel to destroy Hezbollah. Go, Israel, go!
BTW, if you were upset about the bombing in Lebanon that reportedly killed 37 children, you should take another look at those pictures. Why do most of those children not have a speck of concrete dust on them? Why, if they were pulled out of the rubble an hour after they were killed, were they showing signs of rigor mortis, which doesn't set in for 12-24 hours even in hot temperatures? Why did the children not show any injuries that are concurrent with those that would have been sustained in a building collapse? Why did they stay in the building for seven hours after it was bombed?
Consider how many people got out of the WTC buildings before they collapsed, and they only had an hour or so. Why didn't those people get out of that building in Lebanon? They had SEVEN HOURS. Think about it.

i'm with lebanon , with hezbollah the freedum fighters , the defenders of lebanon against the country who occupied it 22 years (1982-2000) the country that stolen it's waters for it's agriculter , allowed massacres there and made a puppet army aginst the government (saad haddad army) and refused to pull out untill the were forced by the strikes of hizbollah
but left shebaa farms in there hands , and ready to come back .

the lebaneese know that and they support and love hezbollah , israel is punishing the lebaneese people for backing hezollah , and for there (israel)defeat at the year 2000

they are doing it brutal and play dirty , and of course control america as usual

of course i am wid lebanon, the lebaneese people and hezbollah (the unterrorist) , and against israel

Lebanon allowed the terrorist organization Hezbollah use their country for their headquarters and training grounds. They have hundreds of missiles aimed at Israel. Israel is our only ally in the Middle East. They are doing what the US should be doing: destroying the terrorists who attacked us on 9-11.

I support the LEBANESE PEOPLE, not the gov't. These people don't have to die because of a terrorist organization exists in their country.
