Poplar Hawk moth caterpillar seems likeliest. Has it got narrow yellow slash lines along it's sides. Or Privet Hawkmoth has white slash lines.
It is not the tomato caterpillar that is only found in North America.

Yup - it's definitely a tomato caterpillar - also known as part of the "hornworm" family. They are usually very plump and fat with a spike in the rear. There are various types. Check out the link below...

Ah youve found him thank goodness for that we were getting worried, the best thing for you to do until we can get to you is to keep him isolation away from anything blue, deffinately no blue, blue is NOT good ok.
We should not take long to get there having used our technology to pinpoint your whereabouts.
You will know it us as you will feel a strange sensation a bit like static running over your body, do not worry that is minor effect of the star drive.
Did I mention no blue, I have ?, Good.
Very shortly after you feel the satatic like sensation please place him in his container outside and we will collect him.
Please do not expose him to anything blue or he will mature, and THAT is something you deffinately do not want, unless of course you are welcoming to beings that stand 8 meters tall have six arms and tend not to like carbon based life forms, we try to keep them to their own planet but alas every now and then one will slip aboard a ship and hibernate for the 20 or so thousand of your years that it takes to get from his planet to yours.
May we take this opportunity to offer our sincerest apologies, and as a token of our gratitude for your care and in recompence for your inconvenience we will ensure that for the next 3 billion or so of your years your Sun will continue to burn, unless tampered with by yourselves or another race outside of our jurisdiction in which case the all compensatory offers will be null and void.
Thank You.

Or it's a malicious stealth caterpillar that's swallowed a scorpion.

not till you're decrease than 13 years previous. it quite is an rather late 90s/boybandish look. attempt something slightly greater organic - think of "snarled" extremely than "spiked", and don't use heavy/crunchy products.
