two ways to upgrage your windows 2000
1st run windows 2000 put your winxp cd ... chose instal xp...
chose upgrade(recomened) ... this will erase your windwos 2000 and setting up window xp... if you choose new installation instead of upgrade you'll have two running windows...

2nd power you pc... put your windwos xp disk...go to setup contorl by hiting DEl or F12 as you laptop works...

make the cd-rom be the 1st boot drive...save.. windows will began to setup ...follow instruction.. if you need more just IM me

Note: you'll be informed that you have existing windows...choose continue with a fresh copy...and it's better to format the dirve you gonna to setup windows on C: mostly...windows xp setup gives you all these options

Get a windows XP cd and install!!! It's an OS,so install, no idea of ever upgrading windows???

hello friend..... the xp cd has an inbulit recognition software which can recognice win 2000 and after insertion of the xp cd, it asks automatically for a upgrade itself... it just a matter of few sec and u can know it urself..... bye.
