It's true---it was reported in yesterday's (08-03-2006) Hindustan Times!

It happens because man is rapidly taking over the areas where monkeys native to India used to live.

While I personally haven't seen many in New Delhi myself, and I've been here several months, the newspaper reports that they are menace in a neighborhood near mine and in the government office sectors of the city.

I do know that they were everywhere in Jaipur, in Rajasthan. I have pictures of a group who lived at one of the forts and came out regularly to forage tor "leftovers" from the day's tourists.

About a year ago, one entered a hotel room where my husband was staying (he forgot to close the window when he left the room). It ate all of the food he had bought to eat as snacks...all it left was the crumbs!

lol i know it is wired but they sometimes get killed becasue they walk in from of the train and also if the train is not going too fast they sometimes jump on the roof of the train and hastle the passangers.

but it dosent helppen everywhere
