when the next ice age come which in fact could be in the next 5 years, will the human race be able to evolve again like we did from the apes or will we be wiped out like the dinosaurs, what will we do? Do we die out or do you think we could change the world in such a short time or just live are life to the full now and put up with are future torcher.

Humans are too scientifically genius. I think so they will find out a solution to stay alive through the Iceage.

The coming Ice Age that we are now overduly entering (we passed through a mini one in the 1600's) will fortunately for life on Earth, be a gradual process, taking a thousand or so years to culminate. The probability of human life adapting to the changes is very high because of that length of time.
The more immediate problem we face is when(not if)we get hit by a Meteorite that's big enough to cause such an drastic climate change in such a short time, life, for all intents and purposes will struggle to survive in the resulting chaos. Did you know only around 5%of the sky is monitored for such dangers? By amateur astronomers without government funding too?
Rest assured though. Life in a sense WILL continue. It has happened before, for example, the Dinosaurs.

First, it won't happen n the next 5 years. We're still debating about how long the current warming trend will continue in scientific circles, and what it's most probable outcomes will be. While many of my colleagues and I disagree on that final point, we DO agree that we're looking at something that will take anywhere from decades to centuries to happen. So, you can relax.

Second, we did not evolve from apes (Darwin NEVER said this!). We and the apes evolved in different directions from a common ancestor. BIG difference. The apes are more like cousins, but are not our fore-bearers. Also, we're still evolving right now. The process never stops.

Finally, we'll have plenty of time to adapt to whatever new conditions arise. We may have a lot fewer people around, but that may not be a bad thing.

Actually we are pulling out of the latest Ice Age so I wouldn't expect the next one to be around the corner. Unless around the corner is defined as about 10 million years.

The human race would survive though. Numbers would be depleted vastly, but we would be here. I'm not a scientist, but I think an Ice Age would be linked with a slight shift in the earth axis and a movement of the poles. This would cause temperatures within certain areas to shift. The northern US might turn very cold and freeze, while the Sahara Desert might be a tropical oasis.

No, we won't evolve -- evolution takes a very long time, and happens in response to gradual changes. When something happens to change the environment suddenly, it catches those species by surprise who can't adapt quickly enough. The one advantage we have is that we have these nice big brains -- we can't adapt physically, but we can develop technologies or strategies for survival even during an ice age. We might live like Inuit, but we'd make it. Don't forget also that even during the last few ice ages, the planet didn't freeze solid -- things were stil fairly temperate within thirty degrees of the equator. So we all move to Uruguay or something...

With the accelerating development of technology, I think the human race will be able to survive quite well. Evolution takes millions of years, early humans survived the last ice age by wearing the skins of animals, I'm sure we could do better. Eskimos do quite well. I think that the idea of an ice-age in even 50 years is a bit ridiculous, where'd you hear 5 years?

Humans and other species have survived ice age before. It is not new to us. So we will survive but the population will be less. If we hunt more for food in cold areas we may wipe out some species. But a higher percentage 80 to 90% species will survive.

Note: All creationist will be gone while waiting for the Savior to come and rescue. The evolutionists will adopt to the new weather conditions and prosperous.

Evolution is usually a slow process, not a quick "oh, here's a disaster, let's evolve!" You have to be born with a mutation that is advantageous to your survival, and the genome has to change in order for you to be considered evolved. We are, therefore, technically evolving all the time! We are much larger than the humans that walked the Earth only hundreds of years ago, and longer-lived! In the event of a global climate change, the main thing that will kill off humans is war. Competition for land in liveable areas and competition for resources that enhance chances of survival will lead to the inevitable war that will be the cause of our being depleted. Humans will still survive, but in much smaller numbers...and civilization will have to start over.

We didn't evolve from apes...maybe you come from a monkey, but I come from God.
And no ice age will come in the next 5 years, evolutions takes long time! millions of years.
If a very drastic change came very quickly, we could not evolve in a short time. Only stronger will survive. But because we have brain, we can create thing to protect us.
But by the thing we are doing I don't think we will get to next ice age!

Evolution takes place over millions of years, so don't look for great changes in the next 5.

Also, I'm thinking there won't be an ice age suddenly happening in the next 5 years either.

Where do you get your "in fact could be in the next 5 years"? I think that was said in the seventies. However, how do you think our MANY MANY ancestors have survived? The medieval times were in an ice age. What the cartoon shows as an Ice Age is just hollywood. Ice Age really means we would have more ice. THATS ALL. It is not as drastic as you are thinking. Research before posting what you quote as facts.
