Is there anyone on here that knows who Stephen is? If you did you would not be asking this question.

The British theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking (1942-) has devoted much of his life to probing the space-time described by general relativity and the singularities where it breaks down. And he’s done most of this work while confined to a wheelchair, brought on by the progressive neurological disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Hawking is the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at Cambridge, a post once held by Isaac Newton.

Stephen Hawking is an eminent physicist and thinker afflicted with Multicle Sclerosis. he has most courageously persisted in working, publishing and giving speeches through the aid of computers. He is one of the most brilliant people in the world today and will remain influential for centuries to come because of his intellectual contributions. The video would not play for me either. But I do not ever remember him being pretty.
Good thing I value intelligence over looks, anyway.

Looks do not matter one bit. His intelligence and introspect into the sciences and the human race are what matter. I'm amazed that in this day and age, we still prejudge people based on their past actions and their looks. God help us all. (P.S. get a dictionary!)

The video wouldn't play for me ... but maybe he just likes looking weird, or maybe he thinks he looks normal ... who can really define what "normal" is anyway??

He has an illness, that I can't name off the top of my head, that put him in a wheelchair. I don't think he looks weird, considering his position.
