The past couple of weeks have been very rough for me and my boyfriend...He says he needs space...So I give it to him...but I am not going to sit at home(while he's taking his space) so I go to the beach and out to dinner with my friends to take my mind off of it...But then he gets mad and says he doesn't want a girlfriend that wants to go out and hang out with her friends...but everytime I say let's break up he's like NO "I love you" I want to be with you" I am so confused! I really don't know what he wants, what he's thinking, or what I should do about it...HELP PLEASE

GIVE HIM HIS SPACE FOR A WHILE BUT DON'T SIT AROUND WAITING TO LONG SOME MEN JUST DON'T HOW TO MAKE A COMMITMENT.

DON'T LET HIM BE FULLY IN CHARGE OF THE DECISION BECAUSE YOU DESERVE A LOT BETTER.

BEST OF LUCK TO YOU & ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT YOU DESERVE TO BE TREATED NICELY.

He wants his space but wants you to sit home and wait for him??? WAKE UP PRINCESS!!! This clown is running around on you, probably cheating too. If he doesn't want you to have friends now, how much is he going to be trying to control your life later on?? Tell this looser to get lost. Don't spend your life lonely and at home to satisfy his whims. Everybody needs friends and if he's trying to keep you from your friends he just wants to control you, not love you. Good Luck :-)

If he can't understand that you don't intend to sit home while he has "space," and that you are only having fun w/your friends, then he sounds immature, insecure, and possessive.

Talk to him again, and if you don't get through to him, then it sounds as if you'd be better off without him.

Maybe he really doesn't know what he wants or what he's thinking, either.

ummm, it is hard but you do not need that, it is a control issue, and he has that over you. You NEVER let anyone control you. You are not doing anything wrong, he may just feel guilty because he IS the one doing something wrong. I would personally call it quits it is not a healthy relationship, too much stress, no thank you!!

Daymn, your in a tough spot, but if he says he doesn't want a g/f, he means it, so take your own path and just dump him. Its kinda obvious that you have feelings for him, so just try to stay his friend, but the whole g/f b/f thing isn't working!!!!!!!

this is your captain speaking .... if you have fastened your seat belt and put your tray in its upright and proper position, you are ready for final approach...
if he needs his space and wont allow you your own space, its time to collect your bags from the carousel... a relationship is based on communication... if you're not getting what you need...leave now !!
