Both of the above are true. I like Dells gear, but they do show up running a bunch of crap that slows them down.

I just had a friend who bought the e510 (plenty of computer for just about any need), but it ran a little slow out of the box until I uninstalled a bunch of stuff and turned off stuff running at start up that didn't need to be, but you'll have that with any computer you buy nowadays. Get an e510 and ask some more questions when you unpack it

yes dell is a very good pc...when i bought mine windows and a bunch of other stuff came with the computer and were on cd...but that was 2 or 3 years ago,im guessing now they dont do this anymore which doesnt make any sense whatsoever..but i have never had a problem with my dell and i highly recommend it

Only if you like to get a brand new computer spammed with pre-installed software that makes it run like crap the instant you take it out of the box. Oh ya, and they dont give you your windows CD, so you cant wipe the hard drive and get a clean start.
