If you do a custom install of Windows XP, it will give you the opportunity to create partitions during the install process.

Keep in mind that repartitioning will delete all the existing files from your notebook. You'll need to make sure you have a backup copy of anything you want to keep BEFORE you partition the drive. You'll also need to reinstall Windows and all your applications onto your new system partition after you create it.

You can either do Partition Magic, you have to get the full version because the trial does not let you save the changes you made. FDisk also works but you have to insert a bootable floppy disk and boot the pc. You can get the files for the floppy from the internet or you can even use the ME boot floppy.

If there is nothing on it, use FDisk. If you already have Windows installed, use Partition Magic.
