Don't think so much. People make this so much more complex than it is.
A person is the gender they present as. Can't people just leave it at that?

A post-operative FEMALE is just that: a female.
In your first example, the man dating her, in most instances, would see that person as a female. The couple would be considered a heterosexual couple. If the man were Gay, it would be logical to assume that he would date other Gay men and not women.
I've only seen (on television) one couple remain together in reference to your second example. The wife of the PRE-operative male stayed with her husband although her reasons for staying were not because she remained 'in love', with the "new" woman, but because of familial issues. After her husband had his gender reassignment surgery, she stated she had no sexual desires for her new "wife" and remained heterosexual. I don't recall what the post-operative female stated her sexuality as being. I would hasten to assume that the new "she" was also heterosexual.
It would be interesting to hear from those who have lived, or are living, these real life scenarios.
Best Wishes!

THe transperson in question is whoever they identify as. That they've gone so far as to get the parts to match should make it easy for you. More importantly, there's a huge difference between sexual orientation / identiy and the behavior of any person at any point in time. If the guy he's dating is bi, then dating a transgirl doesn't make him gay, nor would dating an XY male. He's still bi.

no - after the sex change, he is now a she (inside and out). She is dating a straight male.If she is now dating a woman, they are both lesbians (or bi).
You are just making more complicated. After SRS(sex reassignment surgery) and years of hormones and counseling, the person who transitioned is now considered legally, psychologically, and emotionally the other sex.
After all that, this new person should be treated with respect.

Yup. Just because he has a sex change doesn't change the fact that he was born a man. Having a sex change doesn't make him a woman, it only makes him extremely gay.

no, but the man she is now with can identify however he chooses and the same for the woman that she is with. While homosexuality is completely natural, it does take a person to accept the identity in order for them to be lesbian or gay.

i'm unlikely to place in writing an entire essay in this question, i'm going to shop issues common. Gender is diverse then sexuality or sexual orientation. Transsexuals have intercourse differences through a ideas/intercourse chromosome mismatch brought about by hormonal imbalances as a bobbing up fetus. a persons' sexuality/orientation is in basic terms a remember of who or what they are drawn to and that's definitely break free gender or intercourse of the physique. So an occasion of this could be a transsexual female who became born male and transitioned to have a female physique (intercourse substitute) yet became additionally drawn to in basic terms women, which might as a result make this guy or woman a female who's drawn to different women, as a result a lesbian. i will't clarify it anymore merely then that. desire i helped.

Question 1: It is a strait relationship. (Boring!) There is one man and one woman. The past doesn't affect the type of relationship, unless the dude is a tranny chaser.
Question 2: Lesse...a woman dating another woman...I'd call that a lesbian relationship...

If a person presents as female, they are female. If a person presents as male, they are male. If a male and a female get together, they are straight (or bi). If a female and a female get together, they are lesbians (or bi). If a male and a male get together, they are gay (or bi).
Its really not that complicated.
