For starters I'd never consider myself a hero, particularly if it came to a case of survival. At that point it is pure animal instinct.
I'd definitely have to take some action & I'm sure I wouldn't be alone in overtaking these guys. No one is going to sit idly by anymore if some fool(s) attempt to control an aircraft.
Not to mention, these idiots better know how to handle a knife because odds are it'll be used against them. ;-)

heck yea. after the terrorist attacks of 9\11 maxim magizine had an article on how to take out a terrorist with a knife.

I think they could not be able to take control of the plane,
and I could not get the chance to become hero..
Its really hard to be a superhero nowadays..

i doubt that i am hero material..especially in a situation like that...i can barley take care of myself..first i am afraid to get on a plane..second i do not try to get into it with anyone especailly and one carrying knifes and the terriorists are in control..just not me..

What a thought provoking question...
I suppose that would depend on whether I had my child with me. You are going to perish regardless. But my first duty is to my child...and my job would be to be her hero...to try to make her transition to heaven as painless as possible. But if I were travelling alone...I would like to think I would step up.

yeah if it is only two of them. I'd kick one in the balls and fight the other. their are so many people on a plane that it would be easy to over power them.
