Something relatively heavy fell on my big toe and it caused a blood clot. That was about a week ago and I'm still seeing the blood clot on my toe. I've heard you have to take it out, but that sounds too painful to me. Do you have any better, and not at all painful, solutions for me?

You want to just leave it alone and let it heal on it's own. If you have a blood clot in your toe and it releases it can travel up to your heart or brian and cause you to have a heart attack or stoke. The best thing for you is to take asprin for the pain that will also thin you blood in case the clot does release and this will lessen the chance of it causing a heart attack or stoke. If you want to heal it quickly you should see your doctor.

You cant have a blood clot on your toe. A bruise? If so, that will go away over time.

Pain killers and observation is the treatment , no need for surgical intervention , it will disappear spontaneously
