No. They'll all rejoice and have a big parade. Once they realize Cuba was left in the power of someone just as horrible as Fidel they will continue they're bitching about wanting to go home to a land they haven't set eyes on in either decades (if they're old) or in their lives (if they were born in America).

Cuban-Americans for the most part were born in the United States - though there is a trickle of emigrants from Cubs to the U.S., most today are second or third generation native born. Like many others who emigrated to America to escape oppression, Cuban-Americans are now a part of our national quilt of peoples.

And, like many others who came here and after a long time saw changes in the countries of their families' origins, some will go back, and most will remain to enrich our culture and build our nation.

I have friends of Estonian and Latvian origins, whose familes came here to escape the Nazis and the Soviets during World War II. Some have even been given back the family lands taken by the state during the Communist era. They are now, however, Americans by birth and primary culture, and while some have maintained use of the families' native tongues and observe traditions from their countries of origin, they would no more want to go to those places to live than your or I might desire.

Cubs is now in transition. There seems to be a strong structure in place to maintain the system of state socialism in Cuba. Over time it is much more likely Cuba will again restore trade and other ties with the U.S. However, the dream of the old-time Cubans, to go back to Havana or the countryside and take back property and power, will never come to fruit.

I'd bet they will stay here and continue to live the American dream.
