Living in China gives me lots of options. I can watch the Government controled CCTV channels, or BBC or the American networks. We do get news from Australia but reception is poor. In spite of being a 'communist country', most of the news is uncensored and some of the local political cartoons about China itself are hilarious.

Hmmm... to start with I don't "watch the news" I read it. Watching the news is pretty worthless. Now as to your question, yes, I read news from all over the world, and I try to read services that are not US based for balance. I do suffer the usual problem many US citizens have: If it ain't in English, I can't understand it.

Other people claim that news in the U.S. is biased and that sources like BBC are not. That is bologna!

USA news, in my opinion, is the best news to watch. Other sources are good too but news in the USA is the best.

Well unfortunately in my area we don't get the international news (unless you have satellite but I'm not even sure about that), but I do visit the international news websites daily, and I find them to be more accurate, and have more of the story's our government would rather we not hear.

Sure, I watch BBC also. The USA is just not that important so that I can only watch its news, you know.

For real news I usually check in with BBC or Reuters. When I want to know if Britney Spears is pregnant I check the American news services.

In Australia we have an "ethnic" TV channel(SBS) and although it is Govt run I think it does give us the WORLD news rather than the local stuff. It is difficult not to become isolated but I think most of us do after time. Do they have similar in USA ?

I generally listen to BBC radio and NPR to get my news, rather than watch any televised news. It's nice to get different persectives on the major stories.
