if she is a true writer (not just a commercial one) she will continue writing because she has no choice, wether she writes anything that is publishable and sells as well as harry potter will be niether here nor there, she will just have to be writing because its in her mental make up - she may even write potter novels and not sell them it's the writing bit that a writer is addicted to not the selling or publishing.

She wants to end the series with the seventh book, and it's still a very real possibility that she may kill Harry just so that no one can continue the series.
She has made millions of dollars off of the series (Even though I think the quality of the writing has gone downhill, I still buy them, and so do billions of other people), but I'm kinda doubtful that she'll write other stories like Harry Potter. Of course, it does depend on what you mean when you say, "like Harry Potter." I'll assume that you mean fantasies about wizardry where the wizards are trained in a school once they reach a specific age and with a villain like Voldemort, and say I hope not.
I hope J.K. Rowling does continue writing once she finishes the Harry Potter series (like Eoin Colfer did with the Artemis Fowl books) so that she won't waste her talent. I hope the books that she could write after the Harry Potter series have nothing to do with it-- She needs to be an author that doesn't write to please the public, and I know she's not, but if she writes more Harry Potter or books similar to Harry Potter. I would love it if she wrote more fantasy books about magic as long as they don't closely parallel the story and details of the Harry Potter books.

No idea. She has earned already more than 400 million with the Harry Potter books, and I would not be surprised if she would at some stage call it a day and enjoy the rest of her life and her money.

Actually, she's said that she might put out an encyclopedia of sorts for the Harry Potter series with the procedes going to charity. Her future writing plans are for a shorter children's book that she's been working on while writing the series. She dubs it a "political fairy story".

Why would she? If she wanted she could never have to work again, but i bet if she wrote something else, she'd try and be completely different from Harry Potter and stretch herself as a writer.
Personally, i'd enjoy the money and only write for the hell of it!

She has a great talent and writing these sorts of books will earn her fame so I think that she will use this talent in the future. But first she will write the 7th part of Harry Potter or even more!

she has written other books such as 'fantastic beasts and where to find them' and 'quidditch through the ages', after the harry potter series, she would most probably write more of such books. she has mentioned many times that she loves to write and does not wish to give up writing the harry potter books.

who knows; from what she's said, there will not be an opportunity for someone to exploit the Harry Potter concept after the seventh book (ie: he will probably die); that said, she's made her millions from him and may never be successful with another character, so she might just resurrect him in years to come. Guess we'll just have to hope!
