Banana needs not much care, give water 2-3 a week, but needs much sunlight.
Do you have monkeys at home?

"California Rare Fruit Growers" is a club of folks who are into tropical fruit including bananas. they are into teaching the public about growing stuff like that. i couldn't hind their flyer, but i am sure they have a web sight. check with them. they love questions like yours.
