Your question is not quite clear, if you mean how to get the internet at your home, then there're number of choices:
1- xDSL: This type of internet connection makes you online 24hrs/day 7days/week without making your home telephone busy (you can still receive phone calls), as you may guess, it has some drawbacks. First, the download/upload speeds are not symmetrical. Generally your download speed is 2-4 times your upload speed. Second, DSL is a distance sensitive technology. It's limited by the distance between you and your local telephone office, that means, the more far you are, the less speed you get. Third, the maximum (theoretical) download speed is 8 Mbits/sec.
The advantages are:
- You are always connected to the internet.
- It's somewhat cheap.
- You get a fair download speed relative to your upload speed, but as a normal internet user, upload speeds are not very important.
- You can get symmetrical download/upload speeds using the VDSL technology, but that's a little more expensive, but generally still less expensive than other internet connection types.
2- Cabel/Broadband: This type of connection is usually more expensive than that of xDSL. It's the same advantages as the DSL, but the most abvious difference is that, it's not distance sensitive, besides you always get a faster and symmetrical download/upload speeds.
Hope that helped.
Best Regards

you need a modem to connect to the internet and an internet browser. Usually you have an Internet Explorer along with your Operating System Installation CDs
then you can connect to the internet either by dial up connection or DSL.

By calling your local internet provider, depending on where you live either your cable company or your phone company are sometimes internet providers (IP) You will have to pay a monthly bill for this service. They'll come to your house and via a modem hook you up. Choice High speed instead of dial-up.

you don't install the internet, it's not "in" a computer. Your computer connects to it. if you are asking this you obviously have internet access. if you are at work and you need it at home, then call your cable company, try yahoo dsl or your phone company.
get highspeed, do not waste your time with dial-up.
