Current: Bobby Cox - He's had an amazing career. Some people forget he was a very successful manager before he ever came to the Braves. He's probably one of the top 5 managers of all time.
All Time: Joe McCarthy - He knew how players needed to be handled, was a master of game strategy. Plus, he won. A lot.

In todays MLB I would say Jim Leihland, the Tigers manager. He also won a world series with a lesser team, Marlins in 97.

Today it's Willy Randolph, with Leyland in an almost dead heat second. They both took good teams that hadn't really coalesced and made them into unified forces. I give Willie the edge because he had more new players, and brought them together in a much harder market.
All time, Miller Huggins, Yankees manager of the 1920's. He led the Yanks to their first 6 pennants, and their first three World Series. He put a very disparate group together and turned them into Murderers Row.

Defenitely NOT Willie Randolph. And I'm a Mets fan sayin this. I'd have to go with Joe Torre and Bobby Cox (The Yankees and Braves, my two most HATED teams, never thought I would actually say this)

Today it's Jim Leyland.
Throughout time, you have to consider Casey Stengel, Connie Mack, Sparky Anderson, etc.
