i play some melodious music at low volume and it helps

See the human brain really can multitask..yes, I know sometimes you think you can't even single task. But, anyway...
So, you need something to keep those other tracks occupied without distracting from the primary track: studying. Like a few others suggested, music is always a good choice. Just make sure it isn;t your favotire song and you end up singing along with it instead of studying to it.

music improves concentration thus listen to melodious music at low voice i do the same.
also give some break for every 1/2 an hour for 5 mins.
during break close your eyes and think and Analise the thing you studied.

1. keep hydrated (drink lots of water)
2. consume fish oils (Omega-3)
3. every 15 minutes look away from the page/screen and refocus your eyes on a distant object, and then a near object. this stops eyes from getting tired.
4. do at least 40 minutes of exercise during your study day
5. eat sugary cereal for breakfast, but do not drink coffee - creates a chaotic brain state

Turn off the tv, radio, and ipod.
Recent studies have shown that when multiple stimuli are present, it is much more difficult to learn and to effectively remember. Most teens seem to believe that they can't learn unless they are surrounded by rap music, but it just ain't so!
