3 W's aren't exactly good but aren't completely horrible. A W signifies that you give up easily and are unable to follow through. I would recommend that you not withdraw from any more classes because it looks bad on your transcript. Most schools wil not allow you to have more than 3 anyway.

What is bad is that you are a junior in college and spelling "What" as Wut. Don't you think it is about time to leave that kid stuff behind you yet?
Then again, if you didn't realize that was the incorrect spelling... then that perhaps explains all the dropped courses. No one here can tell you what the consequences of your withdrawing from several classes are to you. We don't know your particular situation. Worst case scenerio, you could loss your funding for school, and still have to make up the classes eventually to get whatever degree you are pursuing.
I think too many questions are asked on this site by young people who are simply bored, or have now hit a point where they want other people to think for them. For a lot of their questions, plain old common sense should more than apply... but perhaps that is the problem, that a lot of today's young lack common sense... I just don't know.
Anyway... get a good education, find yourself a good career, and stop trying to dummy yourself down to your peers!!!

Hi grl,
W's are not necessarily bad, but you don't want too many of them. You may want to go to your college's registration office and ask them what the effect will be. If you are doing well otherwise, they may not be a big deal.
You may also be able to have them removed in certain cases. Ask about that at the registration office. Most colleges have an academic standing committee (or equivalent) - you can petition that committee to have one or all Ws removed, if you can show a good reason why they should be removed. In some cases, they can be retroactively changed to a "withdraw without W" or a "late add/drop" or whatever. Talk to your adviser about this - he or she may have some advice.
If it turns out that you can't get rid of the Ws, it's not the end of the world. Just don't get any more! :0)
Love, Jack

Having W's on your transcripts is not the best of situations, because it does show that you were in the class and left without completing. If the suggestion to try to get them removed/changed does not work, you could retake those three courses and get a new grade on them. It probably won't replace the W, but it will show that you did not just give up on the class. And if a W kills your GPA, the actual grade will average in, if not completely replace the points for the W. Good luck! :-)

Having one W is not bad, sometimes you accidentally take more credits than you can handle and dont realize until it's too late. Having two Ws might show you have poor judgment about what courses to take. Have 3 Ws is a bad thing, and I would try to avoid taking any more. If you wish to pursue graduate school, you may have to wait until you've accomplished something in the work force.
If you can, try and retake at least one course that you previously withdrew from, it will show that youre willing to correct mistakes you may have made.

Is that a withdraw? Is it a withdraw pass or withdraw fail? or just a withdraw from a class? What is the consquence at your particular university is the question I guess it varies? I would go ask the dean of students.

W means you're weak and you easily collapse under pressure. If I were an employer and saw your transcript I would definitely look at that as a sign of your questionable character, and subsequently not hire you.
