Well, I'm on the Platinum package and until a few weeks ago, I was running on a 2Mb connection. The Up/down streams were 288K/2272K.
I just received an update not long ago and now my up speed is close to 450K and download is a whopping 7.5Mb.
I would imagine if the telephone exchange is capable of 8Mb then you would probably see an upstream close to 512K and a downstream of at least 8096K.

Upload speeds are only 288k whatever package you are on
The 8MB package has downloads of 2mb - 8mb
