Well, very-very-white-to-the-point-of-seeing-veins-at-the-temples skin color CAN look quite sickly and thus not attractive at all, but look at the Chinese! They can be very white and so beautifully innocent looking... I mean, I'm sure you have facial traits far from being like them, but still. A very white skin color can be interestingly beautiful... and it can enable you to do many different makeup styles as well. Very nice. Personally, the fact that you're a half "white chocolate/dark chocolate" girl is really cool. Be proud of it! Make your unusual physique appear rare and mysterious, not sickly and unattractive.
Anyway, thank you for reading and good luck! I truly wish you the best. :)

Sure! Actually, for much of history a pale skin was desired. People who were tan looked like workers who toiled in the sun. Royalty was always pale. Look at old paintings. You may be descended from a king and queen! It is only recently that the "tan" look has been associated with health and attractiveness.
I think it's great that there are all different types of looks in the world. Many people find fair skin very attractive. Don't ever change to please others!

Yes pale can be beautiful. This was the first summer I have ever gone out and actually tried to get tan (it worked, but I ended up with something worse than pale skin - a massive amount of freckles!!) My only problem is that I will never go out and get tan on purpose again, but i did figure that i (like you said in your question) don't look tired anymore. Those lotions actually do work - they aren't as messy as the instant self-tanners and they are lotion. Just remember to wash your hands when you are done...

Pale skin is wonderful. You said it yourself, being pale shows that you have avoided the damaging UV rays and that is good. Everyone needs a little sun to aid in their own vitamin D production, but you can still use sunblock and get sun without geting tan.
I use self tanner too, but I don't mind being super duper white. I have redhair and brown eyes so my face looks out of place when it is tan.
Be proud of being pale, nothing wrong with it, I would much rather be glow in the dark then fake orange or have leathery sun damaged skin or melanoma.

Hey Jammie. I have been an observer of people and life for 39 years now. Yes, tan is attractive, but I have also been to the beaches every year, and I have seen PLENTY of girls not tanned, but still very attractive. The reason I noticed is that I was never one to get a good tan. I do keep myself in shape, so that was what helped make me feel good. You see every size, shape, color, Etc. at the beach, and most everyone is in their suits no matter how big or small, or tanned or light skinned they are.
Be comfy with you, that is what shines through with any woman I see. You are the most attractive you there is!!!

I personally think that fair skin is extremely attractive. I am utterly turned off by the fake orange tan that so many people have that makes the body look unnatural. And there are others who sit and cook in the sun until they are a completely baked color. I think that a little color is good for a person and everyone should get a certain amount of sunlight. Check out dermatology websites for recommendations on sun exposure and how much is dangerous.

Hey Jammie
PERSONALLY, i like chicks who have a nice golden tan and i tend to stay away from the pale chicks.
U say that you dont tan because of the harmful effects of the sun...
It all depends on how much exposure you actually have to the sun that will make the effects harmful!
Sure, a day at the beach basking in the sun can cause some damage, but 15 minutes or so a day just strolling through the park in your bikini top and a pair of shorts wont do you any harm!
And just think of the harmful effects products like selftan have (All those chemicals and ****... Eghhhhhh)
Make your own good judgement about the time you spend in the sun! (isnt it "strange" how you RARELY find animals with skin cancer related to the sun...thats because they know when enough is enough!!)
Use your common sense, get out there, have some fun, and get a beautiful golden glow to your skin!

I think it's beautiful. Such a difference from todays fake-bakes/spray on/deep dark leathery tan look.
The contrast makes it even prettier. Don't tan. You don't need to be like everyone else.
Wayyyyyyyyyyyy back the paler the skin, you were considered gentry (upper class.) The people who got tans were laborers who worked outside. Times have changed but the tanned look is over-rated, as they all look rather *cooked* to me then more attractive.
Even though the mindset tends to be "the tanner the better," don't let it change how you look at yourself.

People have different opinions, there will always be people who love pale skin, while others will prefer more tanned skin. As long as you don't overdo your tan then it's all good. Try getting a little tan outside for a couple of hours until you get the shade your most happy with

I find pale skin incredibly attractive. Nothing is better to me in my opinion. Healthy glows are okay, but I have always preferred pale skin. Dark or red hair mixed with pale skin? Forget about it, I'm in love, lol. Keep being beautiful! =))
