ok first of all , please discuss scientifically and fairly and seriously regardlerss of your beliefs.

in the qoran in 1400 years ago it is stated that angels are made of light. and it mentiones that angels travel in one day the same distance that the moon travels in 1000 lunar years, that is, 12000 Lunar Orbits / Earth Day.

and so we can calcutate the speed of angles in this way.which calculated to the speed of light 299792.5 km/s

here is the link for the calculations and **** please tell me your ideas as people who love astronomy and space.link:

The word "land" appears 13 times in the Qur'an and the word "sea" 32 times, giving a total of 45 references. If we divide that number by that of the number of references to the land we arrive at the figure 28.888888888889%. The number of total references to land and sea, 45, divided by the number of references to the sea in the Qur'an, 32, is 71.111111111111%. Extraordinarily, these figures represent the exact proportions of land and sea on the Earth today

The statement of "seven heavens" is repeated seven times. "The creation of the heavens (khalq as-samawat)" is also repeated seven times.

"Day (yawm)" is repeated 365 times in singular form, while its plural and dual forms "days (ayyam and yawmayn)" together are repeated 30 times. The number of repetitions of the word "month" (shahar) is 12.

those percentages of the land and sea are as they are today and they were in the time that quran was revealed to prophet mohammad.
so even if 10000 years from now the percentage is not the same but it is in the science history that in the time of the revelation of the quran those percentages
were the actual percentages of th land and see.

They do a lot of calculations and assumptions on that page you linked to. They use a specific interpretation of the qoran quote "Then this affair travels to Him a distance in one day, at a measure of one thousand years of what you count." Where is something said about the length of lunar orbits? And even with that assumption they need some strange corrections like " the moon's orbital energy is the vectorial sum of the intrinsic energy of Earth-moon system". That's just wrong. Energy is a scalar, not a vector and you can't add energies in a vectorial way.

There's a famous book about statistics (I don't remember the the name), in which is a chapter that shows that *any* number (and also important constant) can be derived from 5 arbitrary numbers just by multiplication of small powers of them with an excellent accuracy.

So really, don't let your self fool by these tricks to sell religion as scientific proven. It's not and can't be.

This looks a little to me like manipulating figures to get the answer you want. For a start the figure 12000 is pretty approximate, especially since the earth day and lunar month are given to a high precision elsewhere in the calculation. Also, no reference is given for the radius of the moon's orbit. And why is the Sun's influence removed?

No theoretician would publish this calculation with out full error evaluation, there is no mention of errors here, and the final result is frankly a little *too* accurate for me to believe it.

Edit: In reply to your comment, I don't believe it is really that accurate - I think the numbers have been fudged and if you added in errors you would get a result that was not at all accurate.

They must have made the same asumption in those days as those of toDay.
First of all it is impossible to find a vacuum in space. The reason is that space is a medium substance.
Velocity of micro masses are a function of density of space. If we postulate that the Universe is not homogenous Than velocity of light at different parts of the Universe must be propotional to the density of space at that location. The measurements of light velocity that Roemer made were relative only to the earth. So dubbious assumptions that the speed of light was the same all thruout the Universe is really a leap of faith.
There is a problem using moon velocity and time dilation formulas in proving some of the abrogation in some semetic writings. Some how i could not reconcile the relative velocity of the moon in the calculation .WE cannot set time relative to the Creator of the Universe. So what ever was alluded to to prove the abtogrations was really a gross assumption.Since time only indicates how fast a process take place.WE cannot impose time on our Creator as a function of the mass of his throne.in Hebrew our Creator Name implies the Self existing ones. This is a dimension which which have very little understand of.
Therfore how can we assign an absolute value on time and velocity of light since they are basically relative to locations in the Heavens.
So the velocity of light is only relative. This is what was shown in some semetic writings.
Science studies the Universe and only see it very dimlmy.

But INDIAN researches dates back to B.C. .. they found the speed of light and also aproximately age of universe http://www.ufomind.com/misc/1998/jul/d18-001.shtml

http://home.no.net/rrpriddy/Oldindia.html

In the Indian Puranas, thought to be more than 1200 years old. A speed of the light is given based on the Rig Veda.

That speed is: 2,202 yojanas in half a nimesa.

These are given in ancient indian units. Here is a conversion:

A yojanas is 8000 Dhanus/bows and each bow is 6 feet

A nimesa is 16/73 of a second, as deduced from the following in the Purans:

15 nimesa = 1 Kastha
30 Kastha = 1 Kala
30 Kala = 1 Mahutra
30 Malhutra = 1 day and night

If we convert them to their equivalent modern units, where each yojanas is 9 miles and each nimesha is 16/73.3 seconds, substituting it into the speed of the sun by the Rig Veda gives the speed of the sun as 186,536 miles per second. The most accurate figure for the speed of light as of today is 186,282 miles per second.

This means the Rig Veda figure is 99% accurate to the modern figure. This kind of accuracy can only be achieved with laser technology and highly sophisticated measuring equipment. However, this just corroborates what we already know from the Vymanika Shastra, that they did indeed have laser technology.

Did you know that the speed of light changed over the life time of the universe? It wasn't always 300,000 km/s. Did the Koran know that?

Did you know that the amount of surface area of sea versus land changes constantly over geological times? During the last ice age, there were alot of more land surface area than now. As a matter of fact, humans and many animals migrated via a land bridge between Asia and Alaska during that time.

Be it the Koran or any other ancient text you care to cite, there is no way their authors could have known what we know today. These statistics that you cited are just tricks used by people to deceive you and other uninitiated.

Stop wasting your time...

Now, how many other "prophecies" mentioned in the coran hapen to be wrong?
