An 'ANTHOLOGY' comes very near to it.
The word means collection of poems, stories, essays etc that have been written by different people & published together in a book not necessarily on the same theme / topic.
In speech, we call them SYMPOSIUM.
The right Answer as per usage is ' A Collection of Essays On....or ..' An Anthology on....'
There doesn't seem to be any special name or word for it.

i think doubting tom has it on this one... i'm pretty sure it's an anthology.
