i always over react but i have a question and just was curious. my normal starting date for my perid would have been yesterday butmy birth control got messed up this month and i ended up starting the pack a few days late. basically yesterday was my last of taking the blue hormonal pills and today is the first day of my sugar pills. will this dely my period? i still have my pms symptoms, moody, bruising, and what not.

You aren't overreacting - this is a common concern among most women. But yes, if your body and hormone levels have become accustomed to having your period start and end on certain dates, and then you change that by starting your pill on a later date, your period could arrive late. If you have taken all your pills (one every day as scheduled) until your placebo pills (AKA sugar pills), the changes are slim that you are pregnant. However, you didn't mention concern of being pregnant - you only mentioned concern for why your period is arriving later than usual. If you ARE concerned about being pregnant, wait a week - if you still don't get your period, then take a pregnancy test. I hope this helps! :)
