was't it the germans who burnt the books
to stop the knowledge from flowing?

Libraries are a valuable resource for information of all kinds. Although many people think of a library as a "place that has books" libraries have become much much more within the past several decades.

Yes... Most libraries still have books but many also have CDs, DVDs, computers, access to the Internet. And many of these electronic resources are research tools for things either not available on the Internet or available only for a charge. Often you can go to your local library and access these things free or even access them from your home using your library card or a special password available to you from your library.

The Internet in itself is a great tool for research. But often you can be assisted by a librarian in finding something a lot quicker than it might take you to find it yourself.

My money is still on libraries in providing access to information for many years to come.

Yes, a library is a good source of information, but you have an easier one under your finger tips. It's called the Internet. You don't have to know the website. Just type in the keywords and press search.

I'm not sure what the Germans or the US of A have to do with the question.

yes. it has lots: books, internet, reference, etc. i would highly recommend it, especially 4 a research project.
