I did travel with them two weeks ago from Buenos Aires to Sydney and apart from all the delays (they were numerous) Someone pinched my Fuji Finepix Digital camara from my lugagge. The air hosts were rude, they were looking down to us. They wouldn't serve us food for more than 12 hours. etc, etc. If you can tell me any worst service, I may feel better.

According to Forbes, America's worst airline is America West. They state in their article "America's Worst Airline?", that "We scoured tons of data on canceled flights, lost luggage, staff rudeness and more to find which carrier is worst at what. And the loser is America West. Even in an industry rife with screwups, crummy service and dissembling, America West stands out as a paragon of badness. It ranks worst in customer complaints, worst in lost luggage, worst in cabin comfort and next-to-worst in on-time performance. It has one thing going for it: In denied boardings (bumping ticketed passengers because a flight is oversold), it is somewhat less bad than the average airline. "

Also, according to the Guardian Unlimited, the world's worst airline is Afghanistan's Ariana - nicknamed Scaryana. They state in the article "On a wing and a prayer", that "With its long history of shot-down flights, crashes and hijackings (not to mention cancellations), Afghanistan's Ariana - nicknamed Scaryana - is arguably the world's worst airline. But can its new head get the company off the ground again? "

I have riden Afghanistans Air Ariana many times. (I didn't know that people knew to call it Scariana). It is pretty bad but they do try and I actually like the food. Nan, lentels, palau and goat. Hey don't knock it until you try it. The scary thing is that they have no radar and fly through the Hindu Kush. The pilots are good though, I have never felt a smoother landing, especially concidering the runway in Kabul is horrible and pretty much land mines off the tarmac. The service is more just confused then anything and they don't give a sh*t if you sit or not during landing and take off. Cell phones are fine too. It has gotten better since they stopped letting goats and chickens on the plane with the passagers.

I actually think the worst I have ever flown is Air Transat the charter airline. The food is a joke, the weight limit is 20 Kilos and they charge you an insane amount if you go over. You have to pay for alcohol, even of international flights and the drink cart only comes around 2 in a 9 hour flight.

Not the best airline, mainly because of scheduling and delays without warning, however once airborne it's a pretty typical airline. The fly the older Airbus A340-300's and 200's but they are still reliable aircraft. It's a good deal on a cheap ticket if you need to travel to Argentina on a pinch.

Of all the airlines I've experienced I would have to say Qantas is the worst. The flight attendents were rude and were only friendly to australian families with kids. They looked down on foreigners and it was always too much trouble if you needed something from them. Also, the food was crap. Lufthansa is not far behind, followed by SAS.

I heard of certain domestic flights in a quickly-developing Asian country where the aisle is simply unpassable because the farmers load their live poultry onto the same flight with them. So you get squealing pigs and quacking ducks all over the plane. The only person missing from the scene was Old MacDonald!

I'm off too South America next year flying Aerolineas Argintinas as well. I have been pre warned by the travel agent that Argentinians can be very up themselves, and that flying with them can be an experience, apparently thats just the way they are. Thanks for the advise tho maybe I will have to re think my travel arangements.
