I had an ectopic pregnacy about 12 years ago, and had one of my tubes removed. Like you I was petrified of the thought of having another one.

When I got pregnant again (about 2 years later), I went straight to my GP for reassurance, which I didn't get. So I contacted the hospital 'd been treated at, and spoke to one of the registrars in the gynae department. I explained that I was terrified that I may have another ectopic, and was getting myself into a bit of a state about it. He told me to come into the hospital there and then so that they could check me out and hopefully put my mind at rest. So, I jumped in a taxi, went in, and they performed a very early scan (internal, won't go into details) and it showed that, this time, the baby was in the right place. There wasn't much to see - just the faintest flicker, but it was such a relief. That flicker is now an about to be 10 year old boy.

Statistically, your chances of another ectopic are about 10% - so the liklihood is that you'll be fine. But what I'd suggest is that (if you're trying for a baby) you try to do a test as soon as you suspect you may be pregnant, and then go straight to your GP. I was lucky to find an understanding registrar at the hospital, but you may not be that lucky. In which case, for about £100 you can have the proceedure done privately.

Check it out now - so that you have everything to hand when the time comes. If I was going to have another child, I would certainly be willing to have this done privately - £100 is a small price to pay for peace of mind.

But all that said - it is still unlikely that it will happen to you again. But be prepared for any eventuality, and you'll be totally fine.

Good luck (and contact me if I can help in any way)

That's true.

If you got pregnant after an ectopic pregnancy then then the medical authorities will be keeping a close eye on you.

When you can't get pregnant, and things look good from the outside, it can be extremely frustrating. Anyway this is a great method to get pregnant: https://tr.im/c4XTL
The first thing to consider is how long have you been trying. About 80% of couples will get pregnant after six months of trying, and about 90% will be pregnant after 12 months of trying to get pregnant

Now everyone can cure infertility using this natural remedy http://pregnancyhelps.info
infertility can run in the family and one of the first things the doctor asks you when you go to a fertility clinic is your family history regarding cases of infertility or other reproductive issues.
If infertility is caused by genetic disorder then it's not unusual that one of the kids (your mom) doesn't have it and another does (your aunt).
two months of trying is still to early to be concerned about the fact that you might be infertile and it's also quite early to go to a fertility specialist. Go to a regular Obgyb to get a closer insight and see what ways there are are to improve your fertility rate.
Also remove alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes from your life because they might influence your chances too. Stress is also a risk factor when it comes to infertility.

Yes it does increase your risk. If you truly want a child there are options. You can be fertilized by a doctor and avoid the risk. There is no guarantee it will happen again only a risk it could cheaper option also. I know several women who had e topics and went on to have no problems later. Try taking a prenatal for 3 months prior to trying my cousin had 3 bad result pregnancies and two good because she needed folic acid prior to pregnancy.

If you have had an ectopic pregnancy, the chances of getting pregnant are smaller. The filopian tube would have been destroyed. One advantage(if you can call it that) is if you have another ectopic you will know sooner what to look for.
