I dated (note: past tense) a guy who was a Sag and I'm a Taurus. We had completely different ideas on absolutely everything, which isn't bad, but our backgrounds kind of worked against us too, so from that, I think everything you've experienced goes into a relationship, not just your birth date. Also, I'm more optimistic and he was very pessimistic for some reason. BUT at least we're still friends.

Am talking from experience here. I was in a 2-year relationship with a Taurus man. I should have called it off after three months.

Long story short: you will bring out the worst qualities in each other.

He will need reassurance that you love him and that you're devoted to him. This will only bore you and since you're just not hip on compliments in the first place, it will just make him more insecure. And his constant nagging on you to be on time and organized with your day will drive your spontaneous soul bonkers! His inability to go with the flow will kill any sexual fireworks you have. You're friendliness, flightiness, generosity and laughter he will love you for in the beginning. But it exactly these same things that he'll try to put in his control and as soon as that starts happening it will be over.

I'm defiantly simplifying things here. I'm not you and he is not your beau. But his natural jealousy will ignite with your natural self. Spare yourselves the pain: don't go there.

You must look to the whole chart to see what type of people you are attracted to not just your own sun sign and the other person's sun sign.

The 1st house is you, your personality and appearance..
The 5th house rules love affairs.
The 7th house rules partnerships.
The 8th house rules sexuality.

What planets are in the above houses and what aspects do they make? What signs are those planets in? What sign is on the cusp of those houses? What elements (fire, earth, air & water) and qualities (cardinal, fixed & mutuable) are involved?

For a female's chart you can look to the Sun and Mars and their aspects for what types of males they are attracted to.

For a male's chart you and look to the Moon and Venus and their aspects for what types of females they are attracted to.

Any sign can be with any other sign. It all depends on your whole chart, based on your DATE, PLACE, EXACT TIME of birth, not just your Sun signs.

Your whole chart then is then compared to the other person's whole chart using a technique called Synastry.

The aspects between each other's planets and points must be looked at and interpreted. The planets in each others houses must be looked at and interpreted, both ways. Affinities must be looked for. It's not simple to a layperson, but it is to people who are educated in Astrology terminology.
