having moved into a new home, i'm disturbed by my lack of energy day after day. it's a new building built with huge metal supports which also block noise from railway. i have heard that living around metal can reduce your natural energy - is this a myth?

Honestly, I have never seen any scientific proof that metals will cause fatigue, but I have noticed unusual effects when living in spaces with high metal content. I have suspected that the metal structure sets up an electromagnetic field that is inhospitable to the human body.

Since the building is new there could also be fumes from the materials (chemicals used in the manufacturing processes) that are affecting you. If you have any immune system issues you could be highly sensitive to these airborne toxins without even being aware of their presence.

Personally, I would try to spend a week away... at a friend's for instance... and see how you feel there. If you see a marked improvement, start looking for a new place to live. If not, see your doctor. A noticeable lack of energy can be the first, easily ignored, sign of many illnesses. A thorough physical examination on a regular basis is never a bad idea!

I don't know whether living around metal can make you tired. Though electro-magnetic radiation certainly can. Do you live anywhere near an electricity pylon or a microwave tower? Living near the railway could be the cause. Maybe a new house would also have other contaminants such as the fumes given off by the anti-soiling products used on new carpets, or foam filled upholstery or vinyl. There are so many things in our environments that can cause these symptoms that it can be quite tricky to track them down. Good luck I hope you get it sorted out soon.( I hope the railway isn't stopping you from getting undisturbed sleep!)

There are buildings that have design errors that some people believe can make people lack energy and feel down.

There are also metals that some people believe can have healing effects .. copper for arthritis for instance.

So , ( though ive never heard anything about it), it may be true some metals can have a detrimental effect, certainly in different states ( liquid ) the fumes they give off can be harmful.

There is no - absolutely no - correllation between being near metal and any sort of health effect in humans. Unless you ingest it, metal has no effect on you. It does not drain energy, it does not attract energy, it does nothing with energy whatsoever.

Your feelings of fatigue have nothing to do with the materials in your building.

I don't know about you suffering from fatigue, but metal certainly can! Sorry to sound facetious but you could be suffering from stress related fatigue caused by your recent house move. Moving house has been proved to be the most stressful situation for anyone to deal with. Take some multi vitamins to put you back on your feet.

Yes. You are probably fatigue because of the stress of moving into a new home.
