I have been very succesful at a very young age but now i wonder what is the real purpose on earth? I m even wondering what is the purpose of earth? Why r we born, and if we r born to realise our true selves, why do we struggle so much? Where is god? Who created God? Earth is a speck in the universe so how big is the universe? Does it have an end? If i die, do i float in the universe? someone who has some real answers reply. Others stay away. Only someone who has felt this question can apply.

I've asked myself that question for a long time only to come to the conclusion that I don't have to have a reason to live to live...

Living is enough. After all, it's all I got, so there's no use wasting my time wondering why I live since there is probably no reason at all. I just live. I try to get what I like for myself. I try to make myself and those I like happy. That's all there is and ever will be, until I die, of course.

You have been successful at a very young age.

There are people who die even at very young age.

Every man leads a successful life till his death.

Living up to one’s death is successful life. The age is not a question.

The real purpose on the earth is to live and nothing else.

The purpose of earth is to make us live.

We were born because our parents lead a successful life.

We are born to realize our true selves; the meaning of it is “live and allow others live”

We struggle so much just to live.

Love is God.

Earth is a speck in the universe and so we cannot imagine how big the universe is.

But we can judge how small we are.

If the universe has an end what are we going to do? If it has not an end what are we going to do?

Why should one bother about after death? We shall always think how to live with others.

Think about our ancestors who had died. Are they floating in the universe?

The purpose of our life is to love others and to live as long as possible.

Why do we chose to live when we know we are to die and then all our efforts are rendered meaningless...

This is one of the fundamental questions that confronts us.

Religion evades it by creating a fog of belief and muttering some gibberish.

The moment you very consciously ask this question you have already transported yourself to a different state of being from the mundane lust for basic pleasures.

Common people avoid this question because it is scary and makes you lose interest in the tangilbles and you are not motivated enough to remain in the race. Religion or some short term explanation helps us not confront this question squarely.

There is no answer... Further question would be why does this question arise in our minds? Is it the centuries of religous programming? Is it reflexivity that has come about due to civilization and rendered obsessive by modernity?

I would say this is a great drive which pushes our curiosity. I think it will keep us going after/if we evolve as a society to rise above food/career insecurity.

I am reconciled with the fact that at the end of my life the bulb just fuses and there is no consciousness. I would have thought enough and felt enough if i were to die now. If consciousness survived in some form I would be fine with it too hopefully it would bring something unimaginable to my notice..!

I don't know if we came for this but sense of wonder is what turns me on and keeps me going!

I have asked my self that many times but what it comes down to is God. There has to be a God out there. The big bang theory had to have something or someone start it. I've found many of my answers through the bible and God. The reason of being born is more so for doing work here and when we die for the good of people and God. That question itself is a very hard one to answer, but it is still the question all the same. In the christian belief, people go to heaven or hell after death for eternity. Depending on if we accept him or reject him is what it comes down to. I would suggest you by the book Purpose Driven Life. Its got very good answers for the questions you are asking.

We live to experience life at its fullest. If you have been successful, you may have money - travel, marry, start a family. When you hold your newborn child in your arms, this question will seem irrelevant. Our purpose on earth is to love and be loved. Life is a struggle because it's not Heaven. Speaking of Heaven, yes there is a God...by whatever name you may call Him. He believes in you whether you believe in Him or not. Who are we to ask who made God? Maybe God just always was. We shouldn't try to limit God with our humanness, God isn't human. No one on Yahoo can tell you what will happen when you die - that is an unanswerable question. Life is a journey - stay on the right path, be kind to others and learn to love yourself for everything wonderful you are.

The only immortal beings on this planet are amoeba. They are all exact copies of the original amoeba. Yet they keep reproducing. Why? Because many of them will be destroyed. Yet the original continues reproducing itself. Perhaps the very first amoeba is still alive and only the copies have been destroyed. But the copies are the insurance that the original amoeba will survive.

Humans are not exact copies of the original. No one human can excel in everything for ever. We burn out and die. But our progeny live on after our death. Each generation is better than the previous one. Smarter. Stronger. Faster.

So perhaps you are looking from the wrong view. You wrongly think you as an individual are special. That you have a divine task that will be so unique that it can't be surpassed. But the reality is that you are part of a larger organism of human life. You are just a part of the whole. A moment in the lifetime of all human endeavors.

Stop thinking of your individual self, think of your part of all humanity.

Sorry it sounds so sappy, but it is true.

Sounds like your lost. The answer to your question is purpose. Our real purpose here is to struggle, to be challenged, to grow. As to the question of "Where is god", he is where he always is; waiting for you. The universe is 10 to the 34th power thousand miles in diameter. It is not confirmed as to whether it has an end yet, but it must, at some point. As to what happens when you die, that is something you can only learn from experience, and it is an experiment I encourage you to postpone. Life is to precious.

i have felt the same, may almost everyone feels the same... but onething........ i believe that we have taken birth for a purpose which you and only you can fulfill. if you go back on the above sentence phylosophically, everything is manmade... by the ancestors... or brain which is nature made. as far as i know, universe is infinite. there is no end.
often i feel that all that is happening is just a dream of--- whom i don't know....
often i feel as there are atoms molecules and etc, the same is the universe, stars, planets, people.... and giant objects.. existing.....
this is all really nuisance if you go on thinking.... i thought about it seriously at the age of 17. now i am 24, successful, but don't know why i have no space for such thoughts now...
i used to study and practise Principles of Swami Vivekananda a well known guru of 19th century....
as far as i feel, life is as simple as anything to live.... but we ourselves are making it tough...........
we have all the senses of touch etc, it does not mean that you enjoy, but just it means that you have to gain control over everything, then you will find answers to all these questions wandering in your mind.....
you can share sincerely your feelings about such philosophies with me.

We live because we crave for the earthly needs - like Love, Sex, Money, possession.

The day you realize that all these are temporary and not permanent and the day you understand the true meaning of life - you, your self will ensure that you are not born again to enjoy the earthly possessions.

This question should be in another category !

I have real answers, but only if you are willing to listen to them.

Why are we here: To love and worship God, to provide lifelong companionship in marriage to someone of the opposite sex and raise a natural family, and to love/treat our fellow person the way we want to be loved/treated.

Why are we born: Because our parents seek the same kind of love to share with a child, in the same way that God created mankind to share His love, as our Father, with us.

Why do we struggle: Because mankind was initially created perfect, in a situation without the need for hardships. Yet Adam and Eve disobeyed God, and lost the perfection they once had. They, and their decendants, even until now, were cursed with having to struggle for everything they set their eyes on. To further make matters worse, sin (the breaking of God's laws) within our own lives will make our hardships even harder.

Where is God: in Heaven... the best way I've found to describe it, is, just as Earth is surrounded by space, space is surrounded by Heaven... an intangible realm.

Who created God: Although asked often, the question, when worded that way, is conceptually unanswerable (much in the same way as asking: How many Thomas Kinkaide paintings existed before Thomas Kinkaide was born?). All things that were created are said to have a beginning. Time, space, light, earth, you, me, we all have a beginning, and are all created things. God has no beginning, and hence, is not a created thing, but rather, the Creator. Before 'the begining' (of created things), God was alone.

How big is the universe/Does it have an end: Only so big. ^_~. The universe is a created thing, and so has a beginning and an ending somewhere. Yet, because it is sooooo big, man will never see either end of it. (Now consider, if the earth, a created thing with a beginning and an end, is but a speck amongst the universe, another created thing... consider that the universe is but a speck compared to an infinite God).

What happens when you die: It is your choice- you can realize that things like hate, lying, stealing, lust, and failing to put loving God as the most important thing in your life, are what God considers sin, and that we all have sinned and fall short of God's glory, including you (have you ever lied? what does that make you? A liar. God considers hate to be as bad as murder... if you've ever hated, what does that make you? A murderer at heart. Have you ever stolen? Have you ever looked at another person with lust?), and because sin is as rebellion against God, we are all deserving of Hell (a place of eternal pain, regret, misery, and sorrow), yet God sent His only-born son, Jesus Christ to lead the perfect life that you and I cannot, yet because of Jesus' perfection, He took our sins upon Himself, and the punishment we deserve, onto the cross, and died to 'pay the fine' for sin. Then you could accept Jesus' sacrifice in your place, and accept Him as Lord and Saviour of your life, then learn about Him in the Bible, and do as He asks of you... and in the end, you will be rewarded with eternal life in Heaven. If you choose not to, you will face Hell as punishment for your sins against God. (please visit http://www.needgod.com for a better understanding, and http://www.livingwaters.com/witnessingtool/browse.shtml for answers to many often asked questions [the actual questions start about a quarter of the way down])

I spent a great many years looking, asking the same questions you just asked. And to be honest, no other religion, be it Wicca, Buddhism, Islam, Satanism, Atheism, none of them, can quite 'cut the mustard' the way Christianity can.
