Nothing is against rules untill u r a muslim.
I mean there are no rules else where except Islam..
So, it is ok to have sex with ur xb\f or current b/f with both at the same time or with ur neighbour or with the boys of ur street collectively.or any other guy u see....

i'm going through this right now...i'm still debating too...it's hard cause i remember how hard it was to get over our break up, but that was a while ago...i know he's had new girlfriends since me (i've dated other people but haven't found anyone that made me feel like he did...)
the conversation on whether or not to hook up has actually made us begin talking again which is good cause we lost touch for a while (it was too hard for me to talk to him after we broke up cause it only made me miss him)
but i feel like i might be over him now...i guess it's okay as long as you know what the terms are and don't expect anything more...
as long as you both know it's just sex and there are no attachments then i guess no one gets hurt and so you should go for it if you're feeling in need.

I think it's fine to have sex with your ex as long as the sex was good while y'all were together. If the sex was bad while y'all were dating, don't do it.

I feel that if both of you do not have any other existing partners, it should be ok. If either party is already attached, then it's wrong.
