Ignorance was bliss before 9/11. I voted for Bush and thought i made the best choice I could both times. Since then I've witnessed countless violations to the Constitution without reprimand. Then it dawned upon me that throughout history the Democrats did it a great deal to WITHOUT REPRIMAND. Seems to me both parties have the same agenda and all this fighting amongst the two parties is merely a smokescreen. A "New World Order" is coming faster than we all realize. Both parties are puppets to the rich. The United States has ever so slowly become one big state. The rich will get richer and We The common People of this one big state will lose our freedoms as a result.

9/11 Woke the Entire World Up!
For the perpetrators from the Middle East...it was a Victory!...They showed the World that their Twisted Brains will come-up with anything they can to Shock & Harm the Industrialized Nations! Suicide-bombings are now almost a Daily Occurence!...But, gladly it's mainly on their Soils...at least for now! ( Now Obviously, their lives are Worse-Off since 9/11!...Under constant attack & surveillance! )
But, Life is Probably Better Now...in the East & West...Since these Extremists have shown their True-Colors!...ie. Yellow, Yellow, Yellow!...We now Know, to Expect almost any-kind-of Low-Life attack from these Wackos!!!...They Won't Surprise Us very easily Anymore!
We may have to wait a bit longer at an Airport, or on the way into a Sports Arena, etc....But, those Security Checks are working!...We have our Guard-Up Now!...We didn't Before 9/11!...( They could have assembled a massive bomb(s) to take out millions of people on our land beforehand...but Just didn't Think That Big!...)
Life " seemed " better before 9/11...but, the Terrorist Threats were there long before!...We're actually much Safer now with all the Pre-cautions in place!
Now, it's the worry over Who's developing Nuclear Weapons!?

Life wasn't better.. it was different..
we wern't so informed about what was really going on in the middle east.. the whole thought of hijacking was limited to some occurances in the 80's where the plane sat on the tarmack for hours while negotiations occured.. No one knew anything about Hezzbolah, Al Quaida or any trianing camps.
Our media wasn't so hell bent on being the instigators and eyes of conflicts right on the front lines.
Americans didn't blame our president for everything wrong.
People had a sense of sucurity and safety..
We were kind of going through life complacant rose colored etc..
All of that shattered into reality on Sept 11 .. now we have a sense of urgency..

It was better, for me, in the USA. I lost a lot of my retirement investments due to 9-11.
In the middle East nothing really changed.

Well it was certainly a lot better for people who have died as a result, and their families.
As for me personally. My life has not changed that much. Although 911 did change my world view to some extent, I have always known terrorists were out there, and I had no doubt they wanted to kill us. After 911 my thinking about what we had to do regarding terrorism became much stronger. We can no longer allow terrorists to act with impunity, there are consequences for actions, and failing to make this fact resoundingly clear only invites more death.

Life was much better before George Bush. He has taken America and the rest of the world down with him to his level of incompetence.
