No contest, Zizou almost single-handedly won France the World Cup in 1998, played a significant role in winning the European nations Cup in 2000 and again in guiding Les Bleus to the Final this year.

In between he was instrumental in winning titles for Juve and Real Madrid not to mention Bordeaux. And the scored the greatest goal in the Champions League Final of 2002, to land Madrid their 9th crown.

I dont know if Ronaldinho has peaked yet so it is hard to comment on that although if he stay's at the level he is at now than Zidane is my first choice. As for Veron and Riquelme they are both OVER-RATED! But my choice would be Riquelme.

1) In my hart is Ronaldinho, but you must respect The old school and Zidane proved this in WC 2006!!!! Zidane is better then Ronaldinho 1 on 1, but Ronaldinho can pass 3 or 4 defenders by him self and score a goal!!!!! I think that Ronaldninho will be 5 years from now ,the best player of all time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who is better??!?! I dont like it but must say ZIDANE (for now)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2) Riquelme , but Veron is dangeorus whit passing in front of a goal from side!!!

Zidane at his peak not only was unstoppable, but also delivered. He won the Champions' League, World Cup and Euro 2000 and league titles with Juventus and Madrid... Ronaldinho on the other hand seems to freeze or fizzle out at the biggest stage, eg. the World Cup and Champions League final against Argentina.

Veron and Riquelme... probably Riquelme... his better at dead balls.

Riquelme is the best there is, but to win you need to be a bit abusive, which he is not, I would rather see riquelme play than anyone else.
and he is not depressed on the field, he has joy, but he has more concentration than joy, that is why.

Zidane comes after, best Real player.

Don't like veron or ronaldinho, not saying they aren't talented, just not interested in their game (except as opposition)

speed: Ronaldinho n veron
passing: Zidane n veron
dribbling: zidane n riquelme
feinting: ronaldinho n riquelme
free-kicks: ronaldinho n riquelme
shots: ronaldinho n veron
stamina: zidane n veron
creativity: ronaldinho n veron

note: Ronaldinho doesnt seem to be able to raise to the big stage (champions league final and world cup 06') but zidane did (world cup 98' and champions league final against bayer leverkrusen)
