Even if u have a gun, u wld have to be Clint Eastwood or something to leave the scene without a bullet in ur chest if u have like 5 ppl shooting at you. Most rappers were once gang bangers or generally know what violence is all about and now that they are rich, they value their lives more. So now that they can afford it, they get body guards....but they still have that piece with them just in case.....

It would be hard to sign autographs, pose for pictures and conduct interviews while looking over your shoulder to see if somone is trying to bumrush you. So of course they have bodyguards, I know Snoop does. That's what that whole trial was about years ago when Johnny Cochran represented him in the death of that guy Philip Waldemarian. One of Snoop's bodyguards shot that man to death because they felt he got out of line and was trying to harm Snoop. I hope to God Enimen has bodyguards after what happened to D-12's rapper Proof. Even if you are carrying a gun, it helps to have others around you who got heat also because they may see something coming that you don't.

For protection most of the time rappers are in a gang and people try to kill them :) so they have armed body guards..

Yes, they have body guards if they are going somewhere. I don't know about at home. But even if they are armed if something goes down they have to have a witness to support them if one of their hatters try to do something.

Who said snoop and eminem are 'armed' . And if they are 'armed' they have the bodyguards to protect them so they don't get trigger happy and end up in jail ! If eminem and snoop went to jail, we would'nt be able to enjoy Pimp songs and funny lyrics

Of course they do. They may be armed, but that's more to make themselves feel like bad-asses and to uphold a certain image. If they didn't have actual men to protect them, they would end up getting those little 9mm's they carry shoved down their throats.
